#87CEEB… otherwise a ‘Sky Blue’ is the name given to a color sitting halfway between blue and cyan. As its name suggests, this color is an attempt to capture the color of the sky on a clear day.
Situation lends itself as a metaphor for our never-ending attempt to define and quantify things that are rather undefinable… like the color of the sky.
Installation poses a somewhat paradoxical question - How blue is the Sky Blue? Application running the display monitors the color of the sky at a given day. It compares it to its perfect definition - the ‘Sky Blue’. Its never perfect, yet its always slightly similar.
Installation has been created for a group show 'I See Colors Everywhere' exhibited in Milan Design Museum, 2017.
